The Banco BICE and the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE), with the collaboration of Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, are organising an in-person side event to the Finance in Common Summit, entitled ‘Rethinking the productive matrix of Latin America and the Caribbean for the world to come’, held in Spanish. The meeting will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 21 and 22 of 2022, at the BICE offices.
This side event will provide a space for discussion and exchange between the chief economists of the region’s development banks, in order to propose an agenda on the critical aspects of development financing and regional integration, which can serve as future reference for other financial institutions, their policies and operational practices.
The meeting will take place in two parts. Day 1 will consist in a closed seminar with the chief economists and presidents of participating banks to analyse the key issues and produce a joint statement. Taking the results of the first day as input, on day 2, an open conference will be held for a broad exchange of experiences on the critical aspects of development financing.
During the event, participants will hear from inspiring global leaders and experts that will share relevant experiences and practices in different countries of the region. These include challenges related to the productive structure associated with commercial, financial, labour-related and environmental issues.
Join this side event to hear a broad exchange of experiences on the critical aspects of development financing!
