Agri-PDB Platform
The Agri-PDB Platform was established to help agricultural PDBs assess the quality and climate impact of their portfolios, with the goal of ensuring that projects are environmentally sustainable and aligned with carbon neutrality objectives.
Beyond technical assessments, the platform also aims to foster peer-to-peer learning and collaboration between Agri-PDBs and their key clients, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), cooperatives, and farmers’ organizations ultimately contributing to more resilient and inclusive food systems. As the Agri-PDB Platform has grown, it now brings together nearly 140 Public Development Banks across 96 countries.
Backed by funding from the European Commission, AFD, and the GEF, the Platform has expanded its work to include in-depth research on PDBs. It offers a wide range of services such as peer learning, training, and innovation support, while promoting tools like the ABC Map and agroecology assessments. Through high-level participation in global forums and country-specific technical missions, the Platform is helping banks co-develop tailored strategies for green and inclusive finance. Looking ahead, the Coalition will focus on scaling impact in ACP countries by strengthening financial inclusion, adaptation finance, and impact measurement, consolidating its role as a catalyst for transforming food systems globally.
