The Agri-PDB Platform is a global initiative supporting Agricultural Public Development Banks (Agri-PDBs) in improving the quality, resilience, and climate impact of their portfolios. It helps them align investments with national and international priorities on climate adaptation, agroecology, food security, and carbon neutrality while promoting rural financial inclusion.

Launched in 2021 under the Finance in Common initiative, the Platform has grown into a community of practice bringing together around 140 Agri-PDBs and partner institutions from 96 countries—representing a major share of global public agricultural finance. It provides a structured space for peer learning, innovation, and scaling climate-aligned financing adapted to local realities.

Supported by the European Commission, AFD, and the GEF, the Platform offers technical assistance, portfolio assessment tools, innovation support, and regional coordination through:

• Development of green lending strategies integrating agroecology and nutrition
• Climate, agroecology, and nutrition diagnostics
• Innovation tools such as the ABC Map and Agroecology frameworks
• Thematic working groups, training cycles, and regional exchanges
• Country missions to operationalize green finance and partnerships

Since 2023, the Platform has evolved from knowledge exchange to operational support—strengthening regional collaboration, case studies, and partnerships—to enable inclusive, climate-resilient rural transformation and sustainable agricultural investment.
