Workshop on just transition, decent jobs and social protection

A get-together in person seminar took place on 10 February 2023 at AFD headquarters. 

Organized under the auspices of the FiCS’ Coalition for Social Investment, it brought together teams from the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Agence Française de Développement (AFD) to increase synergies on a variety of issues of common interest (decent jobs, social protection, health, inequalities, evaluation, skills, etc.). The seminar also served to present flagship initiatives such as the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions, discuss the role and experience of Public Development Bank, which are linked to public policy priorities, and to prepare for future collaborations in selected countries.

Finally, the seminar also included a dedicated conversation together with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) focusing on the upcoming Finance in Common Summit in Cartagena, and the role that the Coalition for social investment could play in this context.
