GSG side event FICS Summit 2022

The Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG) and FAIR are organising an in-person event prior to the Finance in Common Summit in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire on 18th October, entitled 'Joining forces: growing impact in Africa & beyond', hosted both in French and English.

This free-to-attend event offers the opportunity to strengthen relationships and collaborations between public institutions, such as development banks, together with private sector actors, such as impact investors and impact entrepreneurs, to ensure that more capital can flow towards the achievement of SDGs.

Given this year’s location of the FICS Summit, a particular focus will be given to francophone African countries with smaller or less developed ecosystems. Through this event, countries already sharing language(s), currencies and political institutions, can establish new connections and partnerships, and identify opportunities for regional initiatives and solutions.

This event will be attended by Public Development Banks (PDBs), Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) and other key stakeholders, including governments, central banks and private sector actors.

During the event, you will hear from inspiring global leaders and experts that will share success stories and examples across industries on how the public and private sector can leverage each other to mobilise private capital for public good while addressing the barriers facing inclusive growth.

Join this side event to identify opportunities and solutions that will create a more favourable SDG ecosystem!
