The Alliance of Subnational Development Banks (SDBs) of Latin America and the Caribbean, a Finance in Common Initiative led by FMDV, is pleased to invite you to its online workshop "Aligning SDBs with global agendas : Ongoing experiences with norms, standards and procedures in Latin America and the Caribbean.”. It will be held on April 19th from 09:00 am. – 11:00 am (Bogota) via Zoom.

Financing frameworks that align with the global agendas can provide SDBs with a clear roadmap for prioritizing sustainable development objectives, while common norms and standards can help ensure that financing activities are consistent with social, environmental, and governance principles. In this process, SDBs can benefit from corporate and financial sustainability trends by meeting investors' demand for sustainable finance instruments.

This multi-stakeholder dialogue will focus on sharing methodologies and tools, obstacles and challenges, compliance and next steps between SDBs and their financial and technical partners. The event is organized with the support of CAF and FONPLATA and will count with the participation of ABDE, BDMG, BRDE, BID among others.

The Alliance invites all interested entities, and in particular LAC SDBs, i.e. Public Development Banks and financial institutions supported by national or state/sub-national governments, with a mandate to provide financing to local and regional governments and local stakeholders, such as SMEs, to participate in this exchange.
