PROJECT PRESENTATION

COVID-19 has devastated people’s lives and societies around the world. Now, JICA is standing up to overcome this unprecedented challenge, focusing on prevention, precaution and treatment toward achieving human security, based on the strong partnerships and trust we have built with those partners.
Ex-training participants in JICA training are confronting the COVID-19 pandemic in their respective countries. In Ghana, approximately 80% of the PCR tests carried out in the country haven been implemented by the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) established with Japan’s long-time cooperation. The Institute has been also sharing its knowledge and experiences across borders via online, and now plays a central role in fighting the pandemic in Ghana and beyond in Africa.
